Parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church are gathered in the gymnasium for a weekly mass. Most gatherers are attending as members of a family catechism program led by Alvaro Davila. Davila will leave Chicago in several months to his native Guatamala to begin a mission extending the catechetical program to offer outreach programs, quell domestic violence and assist in mental health.
