St. Eulalia Catholic Church parishioners help to christen the Cesar Chavez Performing Arts Studio with a line dance during an open house of the newly-inaugurated Quinn Community Center in Maywood. The former home of the parish school had been underutilized for several years until Pastor Carmelo Mendez initiated a revitilization of the building, re-naming it in honor of former St. Eulalia Pastor William Quinn. Quinn made a lasting history for himself as a pioneer for social justice, both in the fields of civil rights, along with those of immigrants.
