Polish Catholics join an 8th annual Walking Rosary from St. Camillus Parish to St. Bruno Parish on Chicago's southwest side on Friday, October 26, 2012. The procession is lead by a hoisted statue of Our Lady of Ludzmierz, Patroness of Poland's southern Podhale region. It is said that Our Lady of Ludzmierz' scepter had fallen into the hands of then Bishop of Krakow Karol Wojtyla during a crowning ceremony in 1963. The event was later seen as a prophecy of Wojtyla's future selection as Pope John Paul II. l Brian J.
